Name: Red Alert
Canon: Transformers: IDW (MTMTE comics, specifically)
Age: No exact age, but well over millions of years.
Appearance: Tadaaa~ Approximate size is unknown (because, honestly, scale has never been a fixed thing and tends to fluctuate in the TF unvierse), but I'm going to guess around 13f (396 CM, iirc?) or twice as large/tall as an average adult male. Color scheme is red, white, with highlights of black. Transforms into a Cybertronian vehicle (car-esque), given the setting is not on Earth.
Canon Point: Shortly after his appearence (speaking with Prowl in regards to the murder case of Momus at Translucentia Heights) in MTMTE issue #10, Patternism.

Personality: Red Alert's entire personality has been summed up into two words: paranoid and neurotic. These traits an entire personality does not make, however.
Red Alert is a hard-worker, and takes his job very seriously, both as a warden and chief security officer. He is vigil and diligent and likes to keep things up-to-date and organized.
Red Alert is also suspicious of many people--actually, most people. It can take many, many years to earn his trust, and even then, he may still be weary around you. (Though it's noted with his therapist he had seen for many years he seemed to have completely forgotten about.) But if you are, indeed, his friend, though he may not show it much, he cares very deeply about you. (One insistence involves him sharing very secret, very fragile information with Rung's comatose body before giving his hand a farewell kiss, as it was suggested he may intend on commiting suicide--such suicidal ideations are not common for his personality; at least, in the time era I'm plucking him from.)
Red Alert spent a good deal of time in the care of a psychotherapist named Rung. In canon, it was revealed that he went through numbers of sessions before even giving his therapist his real name; numbers more before he slowly started leaking more personal information in regards to himself.
As such, Red Alert is more of a private person, but it is not to say that he is one to turn a blind eye. He is always willing to investigate and solve a problem, even if he must do so from the shadows or indirectly; he is very cautious, but sometimes his rampant paranoia can cause him to slip or grow uneasy. Red Alert is, and always will be, the type to dig for the truth in whatever way he can. Who he chooses to share this information with is very limited.
His paranoia is not entirely just, well, paranoia. Red Alert has proven right in his assumptions; one big example is the data and fear of "the Institute," which was once thought to be a figment of imagination and delirium, but turned out to be a very real underground operation controlled secretly by members of the government and senate. It is revealed that some of his neurotic behavior is due to the Institute fiddling with his mind, so it's not to say it's all a natural problem, if you will.
Red Alert may suffer from his own mental handicaps, but he is competent and reliable, and is willing to fight and defend his troops and those he considers "friends"--heavy emphasis on the quotation marks. He is an Autobot through and through.
Relaxing occasionally is possible, but sporadic. Red Alert is not necessarily unfriendly; just it's hard for him to open up to people. But he is curious.
I like to use a quote from Dwight Schrute from The Office (US) to help give an idea of Red's personality and pattern of thinking: "Jim is my enemy. But it turns out that Jim is also his own worst enemy. And the enemy of my enemy is my friend. So, Jim is actually my friend. But, because he is his own worst enemy, the enemy of my friend is my enemy so actually Jim is my enemy. But--"
Abilities/Powers/Skills: Aside from his thorough dedication to his job and heightened senses, given his race, he is stronger than the average human. He comes equipped with weapons as well; a rocket launcher and particle beam rifle. More in regards on his heightened senses: he can pick up sounds, noises, and conversations from long distances very easily and sharply. "Best ears in the business," as quoted from canon, but it's obvious this gift is also a curse.
Weaknesses: Extremely paranoid; quick to judge and mistrust; constantly watching his back; uneasy around most people; in a way, somewhat easy to offend. He is most likely his own worst enemy.
Special Items: Aside from his weapons, nothing really.
